This week, we asked Andy Adler, sports director and anchor for New York's PIX11 News:

"What is your biggest advice for success?"

“First and foremost, follow your instincts! In business, we tend to think with our brains and forget to pay attention to how we *feel* about the situation. Your gut knows whether to trust the person you’re dealing with, whether to sign that contract, whether to speak up or stay silent. The brain can be a tricky place...’paralysis by analysis’...but we all have that voice that tell us to act on something or not. And if you’re undecided on whether to take that chance...go for it! Playing it safe is fine...for a safe ordinary existence. I’d rather regret what I did than what I didn’t do...because I was afraid. We make career mistakes, I call them ‘detours’..but the fundamentals assert themselves and you have to trust in that. Don’t ever lose faith and don’t let anyone tell you what you can’t do. “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great.” Mark Twain said it first...one of my favorite quotes. My other favorite quote: “Do it your way or don’t do it.” That’s from my mom...the ultimate #BossBabe.”
